Dr. Stavros Vourloumis holds a Ph.D. from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), where he also completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Business Administration and Management.
He later earned a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and Finance from the same university and a Master’s in Research from the European Institute of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
His research interests focus on strategic planning and decision-making processes, as well as the role and relationships of senior executives in strategic and operational outcomes.
His academic work has been published in international scientific journals and presented at major academic conferences, including the Strategic Management Society, the Academy of Management, and the European Academy of Management.
In 2021, he received the Best Paper Award at the Strategic Management Society Annual Conference for a research paper selected for presentation. In 2017, he was awarded the Best Paper Runner-Up at the same conference.
He has teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate courses and has participated in executive education and professional training programs.
Additionally, he has worked as a consultant and expert advisor for public and private sector organizations, including the European Commission, the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the EU, and the Greek Ministries of Environment and Energy, and Labor and Social Affairs.
