New International Recognition for the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens According to SCImago Results

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) is ranked 156th worldwide and 67th in the European Union for 2022 based on the social impact of its research activity, according to the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR).
The significant global influence of NKUA’s research is highlighted in the recent results of the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR).
This ranking evaluates and assesses universities using data from a five-year period, up to two years prior to the publication of the rankings (e.g., 2016-2020 for the 2022 ranking).
Universities are ranked based on three key dimensions of their research activity:

- Innovation Output
- Societal Impact
