Significant Distinctions for NKUA in the QS Quacquarelli Symonds Rankings for 2022

On April 6, 2022, the global higher education analytics team of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) published its University Rankings by Subject, covering various thematic areas and specialized scientific disciplines.
This year’s ranking results were particularly encouraging for the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), which achieved high positions across all five (5) broad thematic areas. Additionally, NKUA was ranked in fifteen (15) specialized scientific fields, compared to fourteen (14) in 2021, thirteen (13) in 2020, twelve (12) in 2019, and eleven (11) in 2018.
According to QS data, NKUA is ranked in all five thematic areas for 2022, with an impressive improvement in the area of Arts and Humanities, where it ranks 280th globally, climbing 90 places compared to the 2017 ranking.
Moreover, significant distinctions were achieved by the Department of Business Administration and Organizations and the Department of Economics, which are involved in organizing the Executive MBA.
According to the ranking results:
- The Department of Business Administration and Organizations ranks among the top 500 programs globally in the specialized field of Business and Management Studies for the third consecutive year.
- The Department of Economics achieved rankings for two specialized fields: Accounting and Finance (320th globally) and Economics and Econometrics (450th globally).
