Dr. Athanasios Dimas is the Coordinator of the Recording and Measurement of Research & Innovation Activity Services Department at the National Documentation Center (EKT), National Hellenic Research Foundation.
He is also the co-founder and Marketing Manager of the consulting company Saint Startup (www.saintstartup.com) and serves as a business consultant for several private-sector companies, particularly startups.
Dr. Dimas has worked as a marketing and digital marketing consultant at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) startup incubator (THEA) and as a strategic consultant for young entrepreneurs at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Attica Broadcasting Activities.
Previously, he was the Director of the MBA for Executives and MSc Digital Marketing programs at the Athens Economic College, in collaboration with Plymouth Business School – Plymouth University.
He holds a Bachelor’s and PhD from the University of Ioannina and a Master’s degree from the University of Piraeus. Since 2012, he has been teaching Business Strategy in the MSc Program in Economics and Management of Telecommunications Networks at NKUA.
From 2006 to 2013, Dr. Dimas worked as a researcher on multiple European research projects at the University of Piraeus and the University of Ioannina.
His teaching experience includes courses such as:
- “Strategic Management” in the MSc in Telecommunications Networks and Information Systems Management at NKUA (since 2012).
- “Marketing Research,” “Strategic Marketing,” and “Marketing and Services Management” at the University of Ioannina (2006–2009).
- “Retail Marketing,” “Industrial Marketing,” and “Sales Organization and Management” at the University of Western Greece (2011–2012).
His scientific and research interests focus on Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Startup Entrepreneurship.
His work has been published in leading international journals, including:
